Coffee shop hosting thriving social events in the heart of the community
Club Hub Poole recently re-located to the “heart” of the town on St Mary’s Road where staff are dishing up delicious food and drink along with a calendar of activities.
Michelle Bartlett launched the concept in May 2021 after seeing her first venue on Parkstone Road and deciding it would be a perfect spot to host events.
Over three years later Michelle and her team have re-vamped their new site with locally sourced coffee, food and outdoor seating.
Michelle is also celebrating ten years of her female networking and speakers business, Live Laugh Love Ladies Club.
Her business has grown in popularity all over the world including Sri Lanka and Africa.
However, Michelle is determined to stick to her roots after being born on Hunt Road, close to the shop, and still living in the area.
“I have five children and for me I could never move away.
“I am Poole born and bred.”
She said Club Hub has received a lot of support from the community with many loyal customers returning.
From elderly people visiting on their own, to local ladies grabbing coffee and cakes, Michelle said Club Hub makes space for everyone.
The shop hosts a range of events including: book club, menopause club, Chaps men’s club, food sampling, art classes and mental health support groups.
Most clubs are free to RSVP and attend, with customers purchasing the venue’s food and drink throughout.
Club Hub is also available for private hire for events such as parties, hen dos, weddings and baby showers.
Juggling her two businesses and not taking a pay cheque from the coffee shop, Michelle said she does it all because ‘she loves people and enjoys it so much’.
“We are just a business trying to make it work in the community,” said Michelle.
Club Hub will soon extend its opening hours to seven days a week, with a menu ranging from hot drinks and smoothies to fry ups and fresh salads.
Events can be booked on the Club Hub website.
