COPE president Ranjith Bandara engaged in a cricket racket

Chairman of the COPE Committee Ranjith Madduma Bandara, a member of the Pohottuwa Party and a Professor regarding Elephant Hedge, is also involved in a racket involving Sri Lanka Cricket Institute, which is currently under intense controversy.
It has been revealed that Ranjith Bandara has established an institution called “Kandy Cricket Campus” and has used his own business management institution to conduct unusual transactions with that institution. The Cricket Institute has given 50 million rupees to Malwathu Mahanayake of Malwatte Chapter to get land to establish an institution called Cricket Campus. However, only 25 million rupees has been paid to Mahanayake Thero.
The incident that revealed that COPE President Ranjit Bandara had underhand dealings with the corrupt Cricket Control Board officials has now gone viral on social media videos. The video clip shows how Ranjith Bandara, as the chairman of COPE, gave hints to the cricket officials with hand signs when the officers of Sri Lanka Cricket were brought before the COPE and questioned.
