Dinesh’s development plans to checkmate President Ranil Wickremesinghe

A statement issued by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena’s media unit has revealed that a competition has been started to prepare development indicators that will further confirm the measures followed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who claims to restore the country.
Ranil Wickramasinghe is prepared to report on the measures he claims will build the country using the indicators that follow the United Nations Development Programme. Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) and Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) are to be used for this purpose. Dinesh Gunawardena has requested the policymakers, private sector and civil society also to use these indicators to prepare relevant reports.
The Prime Minister’s Media Unit has reported that these indicators were introduced at Temple Trees on the 3rd of last month with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme, including Azusa Kubota, UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka. However, the official government website published the report today (September 1).
