A discussion on Enhancing Transparency & Efficiency in Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) fitness selections was held under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment.
The SLBFE plays a crucial role in providing opportunities for Sri Lankans seeking employment abroad.
To ensure fairness, efficiency, and transparency, the ministry of foreign affairs , foreign employment and tourism introduce an electronic selection system to replace the outdated manual process.
The discussion was held yesterday at the SLBFE along with all stakeholders in regards to a new electronic system that will:
- Ensure a transparent and tamper-proof selection process
- Reduce human intervention and the risk of bias
- Speed up the selection process and provide real-time updates
This change aligns with commitment to good governance and digital transformation. We understand that any new system requires public confidence, and we will ensure that this process remains fully accountable ministry added.
