France’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka dies

According to the police, Mr. Jean Francois Pactet, who functioned as the French Ambassador in Sri Lanka and Maldives, has died of a suspected cardiac arrest at his official residence in Rajagiriya. The Ambassador was 53 years old at the time of his death.
The Welikada Police are investigating the incident, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted.
Mr. Jean François Pactet, born in 1970, functioned as the French Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives from October 2022.
