High Commissioner of Sri Lanka discusses cooperation in local government systems, agriculture and culture with Maldivian Ministers

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Maldives M. Rizvi Hassen called on the Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Dr. Maryam Mariya, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim to discuss potential areas of collaborations between Sri Lanka and Maldives in local government systems, agriculture and culture.

During the discussions, the dignitaries highlighted the potential for more partnerships between the two countries in the above areas, and exchanged views on the ways and means of enhancing these partnerships through capacity building and training programmes, exchange of expertise by way of study tours, entering into agreements and MoUs and bilateral visits.
