IMF meets NPP representatives
A discussion between an IMF group, including it’s head of operations in Sri Lanka, Peter Breuer, and representatives of the National People’s Power was held at the Shangi La Hotel in Colombo this morning (14).
At this meeting, which lasted about one and a half hours, there was a lengthy discussion about the progress of Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring and the processes related to preventing fraud and corruption. The National People’s Power representatives also inquired about the technology support report that has not been given to the people so far.
In addition to Mr Peter Brewer, Mr Sarvath Jahan, Deputy Resident Representative, Mr Katsiaryna Svieydzenka and Mr Manavi Abeywickrama represented the International Monetary Fund
National Executive Members Vijitha Herath MP and Muditha Nanayakkara and Economic Council members Professor Anil Jayantha, Professor Seetha Bandara, Dr Harshana Suriyapperuma and Sunil Handunnetthi participated on behalf of the NPP.
