IMF reaffirms confidence in President Anura Dissanayake

The International Monetary Fund reaffirms its confidence that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will lead the country to economic security, stability, and effective growth.
The International Monetary Fund states this in a statement congratulating the new President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

In a congratulatory letter, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva assures that the IMF will remain a strong partner and be ready to help Sri Lanka achieve its development and reform goals under the ongoing IMF-supported program.
She highlighted the excellent relationship the IMF has had with Sri Lanka over the years. She said President Anura Dissanayake’s leadership will bring stability, prosperity, and inclusive growth to the country.
IMF Managing Director also emphasized that she eagerly anticipates deepening the relationship between the IMF and Sri Lanka and wishes the new president success.
