Imran Khan has remained unreachable for more than four weeks, with his sister Noreen Niazi accusing Pakistani authorities of concealing his condition and unleashing unprecedented police brutality across the country. Speaking to ANI, Niazi said the family has been denied all access to the former Pakistan Prime Minister, expressing deep concern over the silence surrounding his wellbeing.
Niazi disclosed that neither family members nor party representatives have been allowed to meet Khan for over a month, despite scheduled appointments. She added that rumours circulating in India about his alleged death further heightened their fears. "We don't know anything. They aren't telling us anything, nor letting anyone meet him. His party leaders had a scheduled meeting, but they were stopped. We have not been allowed to see him for the last four weeks," she said.
Imran Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, stated that Pakistani authorities have prevented family and party members from visiting the former Prime Minister for over a month, expressing concern about his well-being and alleging police brutality against his supporters, including women and children. She also mentioned Khan's isolation and lack of access to basic amenities.

She sharply criticised the Pakistani establishment, alleging that police have been given a free hand to target anyone associated with Khan. According to her, the authorities have permitted security forces to assault children, women and the elderly without consequence. "No one has ever disrespected women like this in Pakistan. They have been allowed to beat people as if there will be no repercussions. The world knows what is happening," she remarked.
On Thursday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi visited Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi - where Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are imprisoned in connection with multiple corruption cases - to protest growing concerns about the PTI founder's health. PTI lawmakers and supporters also gathered outside the jail after Khan's sister Aleema Khan was denied permission to meet him. Rumours of Khan's death circulated in the media, but the Adiala Jail administration dismissed them and insisted he remains in good health.
Niazi also recalled her last meeting with Khan, describing how he was kept in isolation for nearly three weeks last year with no electricity - a violation of the jail manual that limits solitary confinement to four days. She claimed the same mistreatment is now being repeated. "He is alone, in isolation. As per the manual, no one can be kept like this for more than four days. Last year he spent three weeks like this in the summer, without electricity and without access to books. No one knows what is happening now," she said.
Expressing concern not just for her brother but for other "poor and innocent" detainees, Niazi warned that continued repression could trigger a public backlash. "I believe people will soon reach a breaking point. They have been oppressed too much. I fear for my brother, but I also fear for those suffering in jails," she said.
