The “Industry Expo 2025,” organized by the Ministry of Industry & Entrepreneurship Development and the Industrial Development Board (IDB), will kick off tomorrow (Sep. 18) to 21 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exposition Centre at the BMICH, Colombo.
The exhibition will feature 450 stalls representing 26 industrial sectors across Sri Lanka, showcasing products and innovations by local entrepreneurs.
This year will also showcase new innovations highlighting projects by schools, universities, and public and private institutions under student entrepreneurship programs.
Speaking to media, IDB Chairman Ravi Nissanka has said that unlike past expos, this edition emphasizes international collaboration, technology transfer, and export expansion. We are connecting Sri Lankan manufacturers directly with global buyers through B2B sessions, sectoral forums, and buyer delegations, he has added.
Participating sectors include Food & Beverage, Packaging & Paper, Leather & Footwear, Machinery & Components, Electronics & Tools, Rubber & Plastics, Automotive Components, Chemicals, Power & Energy, Construction, Ceramics & Home Décor, Wood Products & Furniture, Minerals, Printing & Publishing, Pharmaceuticals, Ayurvedic & Healthcare products, Cosmetics, Textiles, and Handicrafts, etc.
