October 11, Colombo (LNW): Sri Lankan authorities are preparing to bring alleged major drug trafficker and organised criminal Charith Sandakelum, known by the alias ‘Ran Malli’, back to the country following his arrest in Bulgaria.

Police confirmed that arrangements are under way for his return to Sri Lanka, where he is wanted in connection with alleged organised criminal activities.

An Interpol Red Notice had previously been issued in an effort to locate and apprehend him internationally.

Investigators have also identified Sandakelum as a close associate of ‘Harak Kata’, another alleged prominent figure in the international drug trade and organised crime.
