Iran Claims Strikes On US Targets In Dubai And Kuwait As Washington Flatly Denies Attack

Tensions in the Middle East deepened sharply after Iran claimed it had struck US-linked targets in Dubai and Kuwait, even as the United States flatly rejected parts of Tehran's account and accused the Iranian regime of spreading misinformation. The latest claims come amid an expanding regional conflict that is now disrupting airports, ports, shipping lanes and broader Gulf connectivity.

Iran claims it struck US-linked targets in Dubai and Kuwait, assertions rejected by the US as fabricated lies amid wider regional conflict, while Iranian President Pezeshkian warned Gulf nations against hosting US/Israel operations, further disrupting Gulf transport.
Iran Claims Strikes In Dubai As US Calls It 'Manufacturing Lies'
Iran claimed that it struck two US Army "hideouts" in Dubai, saying the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) carried out "precise missiles and drone strikes" on sites allegedly housing more than 500 American troops. According to the claim, emergency services in Dubai remained occupied for hours moving the dead and injured.
The Iranian spokesperson also issued a direct warning to Washington, saying, "Trump and the commanders of the US Army must have fully understood that the region will turn into a graveyard for American soldiers, and they will have no choice but to surrender to the divine will of the heroic people and the brave warriors of Islam."
However, the US Central Command publicly dismissed the claim and said no American personnel had been attacked in Dubai. In a sharp rebuttal posted on X, the official CENTCOM account said, "The Iranian regime is manufacturing lies on social media to hide the reality that their military capabilities are undeniably overwhelmed and degraded."
Pezeshkian Warns Gulf Nations Against Hosting US-Israel Operations
As the military claims and counterclaims mounted, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a pointed warning to Gulf countries, urging them not to allow the US or Israel to use their territory for attacks on Iran.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said, "We have said many times that Iran doesn't carry out preemptive attacks, but we will retaliate strongly if our infrastructure or economic centres are targeted."
He followed that with a direct message to regional governments: "To the countries of the region: If you want development and security, don't let our enemies run the war from your lands."
The remarks signalled Tehran's attempt to raise the cost for Gulf states seen as quietly backing or facilitating the US-Israel alliance, while also framing any future Iranian retaliation as defensive rather than preemptive.
Kuwait Airport Hit, Air Travel Across Gulf Faces Severe Disruption
Kuwait International Airport was also hit by multiple drone strikes, with the attacks reportedly damaging the airport's radar system. No casualties were reported, but the incident further underlined how civilian infrastructure is increasingly being dragged into the conflict.
Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson later said the attacks were "carried out by Iran, its proxies, and the armed factions it supports."
The fallout has extended far beyond a single airport. The US-Iran confrontation has severely disrupted air travel across the Gulf, with major airports in Kuwait and Bahrain temporarily suspending operations due to heightened security risks. Airlines have cancelled thousands of flights, while airspace restrictions continue to affect both regional and long-haul routes.
The disruption has also begun to hit cargo networks, creating delays in trade, supply chains and the movement of essential goods, adding an economic dimension to the growing military crisis.
IRGC Claims Naval Hits In Kuwait, Houthis Open Another Front Against Israel
In another major claim, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they struck six US landing craft utilities at Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait during what they described as the 84th wave of Operation True Promise 4. Tehran alleged that a large number of US forces were killed in the strike.
The Guards said the operation used domestically developed ballistic systems, including Qadr 380 cruise missiles with a reported range of 1,000 kilometres.
Describing the operation, the IRGC's public relations department said, "In continuation of the 84th wave of Operation True Promise 4, the IRGC naval units conducted a hybrid operation against US and Israeli terrorists deployed in al-Shoyoukh port as well as Dubai's coasts and port, hitting downhearted American troops and their tactical hardware precisely."
It added a dramatic battlefield claim, saying, "Given field reports, three of the combat vessels sank after the (retaliatory) strikes, whilst the rest are aflame."
The IRGC also claimed it had destroyed refuelling vehicles and logistical support assets belonging to the US military at the Al-Kharj base. In a further escalation, it said kamikaze drones were used against gathering points of US drone personnel on the coast and against one of the hotels in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the conflict widened further after Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Israel. Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, speaking through the group's Al-Masirah satellite television network, said the Houthis launched a barrage of ballistic missiles targeting what he called "sensitive Israeli military sites" in southern Israel.
Israel's military earlier said it had intercepted a missile. The attack marks the first time Israel has reportedly faced fire from Yemen since the conflict began last month, reviving fears of a broader multi-front escalation similar to the Red Sea shipping crisis seen during the Israel-Hamas war.
