Maithri barred from the position of SLFP President

The Colombo District Court today (04) issued an injunction preventing former President Maithripala Sirisena from acting as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
That is according to a petition filed by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga.
After considering the petition, Colombo District Court Judge Sandun Withanage suspended former President Maithripala Sirisena from the position of President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
