A recent survey report released by the Institute for Health Policy (IHP) reveals that the number of Sri Lankans who think the country is moving in the wrong direction continues to rise.
According to the survey, four out of five Sri Lankans think the country is moving in the wrong direction.
It also states that by this May, 80% of Sri Lankan adults say the country is moving in the wrong direction. It has also revealed that only 04% of adults say the country is on the right track.
Compared to other countries in this survey, Sri Lanka is the only country where most people admit that the country is moving in the wrong direction. The report also states that compared to the global average of 62% of adults who voted in 29 countries in April-May 2024, 96% of Sri Lankans think their country is moving in the wrong direction.
The Institute for Health Policy (IHP) has conducted a comprehensive survey. It has considered various factors such as age, gender, education level, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion, geographical location, and fields. This ensures that the findings are representative of Sri Lanka’s diverse population.
