Pohottuwa belittles Wijedasa – gold goes up

It has been proposed to take disciplinary action against Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa, while Rohitha Abeygunawardena has been appointed as the convener of the Pohottu party.
Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa, after being elected an MP from the Pohottu Party, suddenly became a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and was appointed its Acting President. The Pohottu party has taken legal action against him, and it is revealed that Gamini Lokuge is behind the move.
The Executive Committee of the Pohottu party met today (7) and decided to appoint Rohitha Abeygunawardena as the party’s convenor and take disciplinary action against Wijedasa Rajapaksa. When Professor Ranjith Bandara, a stalwart of the party, was appointed as the chairman of the COPE, he was allowed to leave the committee due to protests from the country against a hand signals incident and later appointed Rohitha Abeygunawardena as the chairman. However, due to the resignation of the opposition’s COPE committee members, the committee has become inactive.
