
The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka has announced a significant humanitarian assistance package from Beijing to support the country during its ongoing disaster recovery efforts.
In an official statement shared on social media, the Embassy reaffirmed China’s solidarity with Sri Lanka during this challenging period, stating:
“Chinese people are always with Sri Lankan brothers and sisters.”
According to the announcement, the aid package provided directly by the Government of China includes:
- USD 1 million in cash donations
- Relief supplies worth RMB 10 million
The Embassy noted that this contribution is aimed at enhancing Sri Lanka’s disaster response capacity, assisting affected communities, and supporting immediate humanitarian needs.
China reiterated its commitment to standing with Sri Lanka as the nation works to recover, rebuild, and support the families impacted by the disaster.
