Strong team representing various fields presented from Ratnapura District – Shantha Padmakumara
The National People’s Power has put forward a strong team representing various fields to contest the General Election 2024, says Shantha Padmakumara, the NPP’s district team leader.
He said this while addressing the public rally in Godakawela held yesterday (26) to confirm the victory of the Ratnapura district parliamentary candidates of the National People’s Force.
Shanta Padmakumara said, “During the last presidential election, the people of Ratnapura district did not fall for the false propaganda spread by a few media institutions and a large group of slanderers as well as two or three monks. You are participating in this victory rally after Comrade Anura Kumara Dissanayake was elected as the ninth President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Comrade Anura Kumara Dissanayake was elected President with 1.3 million votes more than the second opponent. The beloved Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Burghers and Malays united and elected Comrade Anura Dissanayake to the presidency. A comrade was elected President by your vote.
Further confirming the first victory obtained from it, the victory we will achieve on the 14th of the next month has been confirmed by the Kahawatta rally. A group representing various fields, including professors, lecturers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, and artists, have been put forward as Ratnapura district candidates. Also, a group of Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim comrades are presented together. Give your preference to any three of them and send them to the Parliament. All these people are qualified to represent you in Parliament.”
