While Dr. Harini Amarasuriya is appointed as the third Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Nadisha Chandrasena is conquering the world in the field of engineering and bringing great fame to Sri Lanka.
Dr. Nadisha Chandrasena has received the world’s best engineering design award in Australia. She has achieved this victory against the ‘Tesla’ company and 21 of the highest new engineering designs in the world.
Receiving the award, she said, “My country is Sri Lanka. This award goes to that beautiful little island. To my country that gave us free healthcare, gave us free education up to university, and made us global citizens, and to my beloved people of that country.”
Dr. Nadisha Chandrasena was honoured with the world’s best engineering design award on the 24th, marking a significant moment in her illustrious career.
Dr. Harini Amarassuriya, now serving as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, is an academic, activist, and politician. She is the third woman to hold this office. She also holds the portfolios of Justice, Public Administration, Provincial Councils, Local Government and Labour, Education, Science and Technology, Trade, Commercial, Food Security, Co-operative Development, Industries and Entrepreneur Development, Minister of Women, Child and Youth Affairs and Sports and Minister of Health.
