UN Guterres Conducts Survey on Sex Abuse While Covering It Up and Banning Press
by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack
UN GATE, July 21– While UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres conceals information about sexual abuse by UN peacekeepers, refusing to provide in response to Press requests as even Ban Ki-moon did information about the mounting number of cases, he is conducting a survey.
This while he has so far refused to respond to this.
Guterres' official Christian Saunders, who oversaw the physical ouster of Inner City Press from the UN on July 3, 2018 (video here), has sent all UN personnel this message:
OSCSEA launched the UN-wide 2023 survey on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
Dear colleagues, Since 2016, the Office of the Special Coordinator on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OSCSEA) conducts an annual system-wide survey on facts and perceptions of United Nations personnel pertaining to issues related to sexual exploitation and abuse.
To recall that, in line with the Secretary-General’s bulletin (ST/SGB/2003/13) on “Special measures for protection from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse”,: · “sexual exploitation” is any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust, for sexual purposes, including, but not limited to, profiting monetarily, socially or politically from the sexual exploitation of another. · “sexual abuse” is the actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.
Your contribution would be much helpful to contribute to determining where challenges persist and how to improve the prevention of and response to sexual exploitation and abuse! Last year, 200 of you, from 64 locations, shared your experience and perspective on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
The survey only takes a few minutes. You can answer, in Arabic, English, French or Spanish; from any computer, tablet or telephone with a browser.
Please be assured that your answers will remain completely anonymous and strictly confidential. The data will be compiled in aggregate form, not attributable to any individual(s) and no personally identifiable information will be shared. Thank you for your valuable contribution!
All entities with personnel working in the locations identified below should participate in the 2023 survey: Afghanistan Gabon Panama Albania the Gambia Papua New Guinea Algeria Georgia Paraguay Angola Ghana Peru Anguilla Greece Philippines Antigua and Barbuda Grenada Poland Argentina Guatemala Romania Armenia Guinea Rwanda Aruba Guinea-Bissau Saint Kitts and Nevis Azerbaijan Guyana Samoa Bahamas Haiti Sao Tome & Principe Bahrain Honduras Saudi Arabia Bangladesh Hungary Senegal Barbados India Serbia Belarus Indonesia Seychelles Belize Iran Sierra Leone Benin Iraq Singapore Bermuda Jamaica Slovakia Bhutan Jordan Solomon Islands Bolivia Kazakhstan Somalia Bosnia and Herzegovina Kenya South Africa Botswana Kiribati South Sudan Brazil Kosovo Sri lanka British Virgin Islands Kuwait St. Lucia Brunei Darussalam Kyrgyzstan St. Marteen Bulgaria Laos St. Vincent and Grenadines Burkina Faso Lebanon Sudan Burundi Lesotho Suriname Cabo Verde Liberia Syria Cambodia Libya Tajikistan Cameroon Madagascar Tanzania Cayman Islands Malawi Thailand Central African Republic Malaysia the Gambia Chad Maldives Timor-Leste Chili Mali Togo China Marshall Islands Tokelau Colombia Mauritania Tonga Comoros Mauritius Trinidad and Tobago Congo Mexico Tunisia Cook Islands Micronesia Turkey Costa Rica Moldova Turkmenistan Côte d'Ivoire Mongolia Turks and Caicos Islands Cuba Montenegro Tuvalu Curacao Montserrat Uganda Cyprus Morocco Ukraine Democratic republic of the Congo Mozambique United Arab Emirates Democratic's People's republic of Korea Myanmar Uruguay Djibouti Namibia Uzbekistan Dominica Nauru Vanuatu Dominican Republic Nepal Venezuela Ecuador Nicaragua Viet Nam Egypt Niger Virgin Islands El Salvador Nigeria Yemen Equatorial Guinea Niue Zambia Eritrea North Macedonia Zimbabwe Eswatini Oman Jerusalem Ethiopia Pakistan Occupied Palestinian Territory Fiji Palau Western Sahara
