We are ready to work with Anura – IMF

The International Monetary Fund states that it is ready to work with Sri Lanka’s new President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and his team.
The International Monetary Fund expects that it will then be possible to overcome Sri Lanka’s severe economic crisis, especially in 2022.
They also state that they will discuss the third review period with the new administration to make available the next instalment of the International Monetary Fund programme.
The International Monetary Fund provided a 48-month extended credit facility of $2.9 billion in 2023.
