It is reported that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party has now split into three parts. It has now been confirmed that its representatives are divided into three groups and will help three presidential candidates.
It is said that former President Maithripala Sirisena and his team have already decided to present Minister Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa as the presidential candidate.
The group, including Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, has declared that it will help President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara, who once served as Secretary of the SLFP, has said that he will support SJB leader Sajith Premadasa.
