No funds to increase state sector salaries – Finance Ministry

The Ministry of Finance said funds cannot be allocated to increase the salaries and allowances of state sector employees this year.

The Ministry said the reserves are not sufficient for increments.

The Finance Ministry said if Sri Lanka’s reserves improve in 2025, attention can be directed to increasing the salaries and allowances of state sector employees.
