The National People’s Power (NPP) has won control of more than 200 local government bodies across Sri Lanka, including major municipal councils such as Colombo, Galle, and Kalutara, along with a majority of Pradeshiya Sabhas.
According to official results, the NPP secured outright victories in 151 councils, and recent votes propelled their total to over 200.
