Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance prevailing in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, showery condition is expected to be enhanced over the island from today (20) evening.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Northern provinces and in Anuradhapura district. Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in above areas.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in other parts of the island after 1.00 p.m.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
