Petrol users will also face additional costs at the pump. The price of 92 Octane Petrol has risen by Rs. 10 to Rs. 424 per litre, while 95 Octane Petrol has increased by Rs. 15, reaching Rs. 490 per litre.

Meanwhile, Lanka IOC has confirmed corresponding price increases for 92 Octane Petrol and Auto Diesel, bringing the prices of both products into line with the latest rates announced by the CPC.
The company said the adjustments were made to maintain consistency with the state-owned petroleum distributor’s pricing structure. It added that decisions concerning the prices of its other fuel products would be communicated separately.
The latest revision is expected to be closely watched by motorists, transport operators and businesses, particularly as fuel costs remain an important factor influencing day-to-day operating expenses.
