Namal Rajapaksa Pushed Into Extreme Helplessness

The plight of Namal Rajapaksa, who has been pushed into extreme helplessness following the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) rally in Anuradhapura, was clearly evident yesterday (16) at the Colombo Fort Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody, saw a total absence of supporters who had previously gathered when he appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and the court on September 4. Instead, only a few former ministers currently out on bail, including Anura Priyadharshana Yapa and Johnston Fernando, were seen attending.
This notable lack of support comes just days after the SLPP mobilized supporters from across the country for their Anuradhapura rally on September 12, which was also attended by Mahinda Rajapaksa.
