Namal Rajapaksa Remanded Until October 16

Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (06) ordered that Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, along with Janaki Siriwardhana, former Director of the Krrish Group, be further remanded until October 16 over the Krrish deal investigation.

The Magistrate issued the order following submissions presented by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and defense counsel representing the suspects.

The court further announced that its order regarding the bail applications of the suspects will also be delivered on the same date.
