NPP meets Australian High Commissioner

A meeting between the Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Paul Stephens and the National Executive Members of the National People’s Power, Vijitha Herath and Dr Harini Amarasuriya, took place this morning (25th) at Australia House, the High Commissioner’s official residence in Horton Place, Colombo.
The current economic and political situation in Sri Lanka was discussed at length. The representatives of the NPP drew the attention of the Ambassador to the Anti-Terrorism and Social Media Suppression Acts the government is preparing to bring to suppress the oppressed people’s opposition.
They also drew the attention of the Ambassador to the non-holding, postponement and avoidance of elections in Sri Lanka.
