NPP meets Chairperson of Finnish Parliament

The National Executive Member of the National People’s Power and Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP, Bimal Ratnayake, together with a delegation from the NPP committee in Finland, met the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group and Working Committee of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the former Minister of European Affairs, Mrs Tytti Tuppurainen. The meeting was held at the Finnish Parliament.
The current government’s unconstitutional practices and interference in the election process were discussed here. In addition, the meeting focused on the challenges faced by Sri Lankans who intend to go to Finland for education and other needs.
Special attention was paid to Sri Lankans having to make a mandatory visit to the Finnish Embassy in New Delhi to submit their biometric data. The delegation and Ms. Tuppurainen discussed options and solutions to regulate the process.
