Sri Lanka has been named one of the fastest-improving countries in the world by the Institute of International Finance (IIF).
Per the IIF’s 2026 Investor Relations and Debt Transparency Report, Sri Lanka has claimed fourth place globally among the fastest-improving nations.
The report places Vietnam at the top of the list, with Belize coming in second and Mozambique third.
The IIF pointed to notable gains made by Sri Lanka in debt transparency and investor relations as key drivers behind its ranking.
The country has also climbed to fifth place in the global debt transparency rankings, underscoring its sustained push to bolster financial governance and strengthen investor confidence.
