HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated today the “Build Your House 2023” exhibition at the Qatar National Convention Center, in the presence of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, and a number of Qatari and international businessmen and women. Following the opening, His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry toured the exhibition pavilions, during which he was briefed on the most prominent exhibits of local and international exhibiting companies, which represent, in addition to the State of Qatar, Canada, Iran, Italy, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Belgium, China, Algeria, India, Jordan and Turkey. This edition of the “Build Your Home” exhibition is the fourth, and the rate of increase in the display area is about 50 percent compared to the previous one, as the number of exhibitors reached 250, distributed among local agencies and companies working in the housing, design and construction sector, and international companies that display the latest designs and pioneering materials in sector. HE the Chairman of the Qatar Chamber said in a statement on the occasion that the “Build Your House” exhibition provides a unique opportunity for Qatari citizens to communicate with companies specialized in building houses, which show their services in meeting the needs of construction, furnishing and renovation of homes. He explained that the exhibition also provides an opportunity for local companies to enhance their growth and development in the local market, and exchange experiences and services with the participating companies, especially in the presence of exhibitors from other countries, noting that the Chamber was keen to support the exhibition in terms of its support for the exhibition sector in the country, and within the framework of its support for the private sector. The country, as well as based on the importance of this exhibition in reviewing the latest developments and innovations in the field of home construction. He added that the “Build Your House” exhibition contributes to the growth and strengthening of the construction sector in Qatar, which has made great achievements, especially during the period leading up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, expecting the performance of the construction sector to continue at the same pace within the framework of the country’s efforts to achieve its National Vision 2030 and beyond. For his part, Major General Hamad Othman Al-Dehaimi, Director General of Civil Defense, welcomed the partnership between the administration and the “Build Your House” exhibition, which is concerned with hosting and gathering suppliers and companies specialized in materials and the authorities concerned with issuing and enacting procedures related to the construction of residential houses and public buildings. He added, “As an entity affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, we must provide practical support and guidance to follow security and safety measures in homes and private facilities.
