The inaugural conference of the series of District Bhikkhu Summits organized by the National Bhikkhu Front with the theme “Building Monks’ Power for a Conscientious Governance” commenced yesterday (20) in Kurunegala district, and a large number of Bhikkhus were present.
Adhikarana Nayaka of Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya and Chief Patron of the National Bhikshu Front, Prof. Rev. Attangane Ratanapala Thero, the General Secretary of National Bhikshu Front Ven. Vakamulle Uditha Thero, National Executive Member of National People’s Power Namal Karunaratne and Professor Dhammika Herath of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Peradeniya addressed the conference.
