Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar is scheduled to visit the island today (04) for a two-day official visit.
Dr. S. Jayashankar is the first diplomat to visit Sri Lanka after the election of new President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks.
The delegation led by the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also hold talks with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
It is reported that a group of senior officials of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs will also join this visit.
