He warned that any future violations would be met with strong retaliation. "If the opposing side again violates Afghanistan's airspace, our armed forces are prepared to defend their airspace and will deliver a strong response," Khowarazmi stated.

The situation has drawn international attention, with Qatar urging both nations to exercise restraint and engage in dialogue to resolve their differences peacefully. The cross-border conflict has intensified just days after Pakistan allegedly conducted an airstrike near Kabul.

Impact on Border Regions

The Afghan 201 Khalid bin Walid Army Corps claimed that this airstrike prompted retaliatory operations targeting Pakistani military positions in Nangarhar and Kunar. However, Islamabad has neither confirmed nor denied carrying out the strike. Local reports indicate that clashes have also spread to Aryoub Zazi district in Paktia province and nearby areas along the contested border.

The Afghan Defense Ministry reported that Pakistani facilities and equipment suffered damage during these attacks. They claimed destruction of one outpost each in Kunar and Helmand provinces while noting casualties among Pakistani forces who also lost weapons and vehicles to Taliban fighters.
