Police investigations into the notorious underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme, who was arrested in Indonesia under a Red Notice and extradited to Sri Lanka, have uncovered extensive data from eight mobile phones seized from his possession.

According to investigative reports, analysis of the eight mobile devices revealed a total of 8,841 call records, 326,671 photographs, 5,039 video clips, and 1,101 audio recordings.

The extracted data has exposed close connections maintained by Kehelbaddara Padme with nine politicians and several prison officials. Furthermore, police are conducting ongoing investigations into his established ties with 20 narcotics traffickers, as well as seven actresses and models.

Following his extradition, the suspect was initially held under detention orders by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for interrogation. Upon completion of the primary inquiries, he has been remanded and is currently detained in a special cell at the Boossa High-Security Prison.
