Indian High Commissioner Meets JVP General Secretary

High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha met with Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), yesterday (11) morning at the JVP Head Office in Pelawatte.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the recently strengthened diplomatic and cultural ties between India and Sri Lanka. Special attention was also drawn to current political developments in India as well as positive transformations within Sri Lanka’s political culture.

Furthermore, bilateral cooperation in technical sectors and training initiatives for Sri Lanka’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) were discussed.

First Secretary (Political) of the High Commission of India, Dr. Rambabu Chellappa, and Kalpana Madhubhashini of the JVP International Affairs Division were also present at the occasion.
