Opposition’s International Ties Narrative Shattered
Claims continuously propagated in recent times that the opposition, led by Ranil Wickremesinghe and Sajith Premadasa, possesses strong international relations that the National People’s Power (NPP) lacks, have been disproved with facts, leaving them in a difficult position.
Marc-André Franche, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, addressed a press conference yesterday (18), stating that while there are topics on which the government could be criticized on a policy basis, the opposition lacks an understanding of these issues and fails to make constructive interventions.
