Key Accomplice of “Harak Kata” Arrested in Bulgaria

Charith Sandakalum, alias “Ran Malli,” identified as a key operative in the drug network of Nadun Chinthaka, alias “Harak Kata”—a prominent drug trafficker currently detained at the Tangalle Prison—has been arrested in Bulgaria.
Investigations have revealed that he is a major drug trafficker linked to numerous organized crimes, including the smuggling of approximately 345 kilograms of “Ice” (Methamphetamine) discovered in the Kirinda coastal area.
He was apprehended based on Red Notices issued by Interpol and border security data systems.
Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya confirmed that Interpol has verified the arrest, and steps are now being taken to extradite the suspect back to Sri Lanka through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under extradition laws.
A resident of Dickwella, Charith Sandakalum had been operating the country’s drug network from Dubai for a prolonged period.
He was notably recognized as a primary active member of the drug network run by Nadun Chinthaka, alias “Harak Kata,” who is currently held at the Tangalle Prison.
He fell into the custody of Bulgarian security forces while attempting to enter Europe using false information to evade international raids.
