Source

A case linked to Sri Lanka’s controversial investment in Greek bonds during the 2012 financial crisis will be taken up at the Colombo High Court on October 10. The case involves former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and three other respondents, who are accused of causing a loss of over Rs. 1.8 billion in public funds by investing despite clear warnings of Greece’s economic collapse.

High Court Judge R.S.S. Sapuwidha presided over the proceedings today, during which the Bribery Commission’s legal representative confirmed that all relevant case documents would be handed over to the defense.
