India Assists in Evacuation of Sri Lankans from Iran

In response to the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Government of India has extended a helping hand to assist Sri Lankans stranded in Iran to return home safely.

The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism announced that arrangements have been made with the Indian government to facilitate the repatriation of Sri Lankan nationals currently residing in Iran.

Sri Lankans who wish to leave Iran can seek help either through the Indian Embassy in Tehran or the Sri Lankan Embassy. The Ministry has advised citizens to get in touch via Telegram or through the designated emergency contact numbers.
