Kanjipani’s Associate and Two Others Brought Back to Sri Lanka
Three suspects, including Dhanushka Kaushalya alias “Ratmalane Saima”—an organized crime gang member arrested in Malaysia—were brought back to the island this afternoon (10) by a special police team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohan Olugala.
Dhanushka Kaushalya alias “Ratmalane Saima,” a close associate of Kanjipani Imran, along with two other suspects, was arrested during a joint operation conducted by a Sri Lankan police team and the Malaysian Police.
Investigations into the suspects revealed that “Ratmalane Saima” had been managing the financial operations of Kanjipani Imran.
Police stated that Interpol had also issued a Red Notice against him.
It is further revealed that, under instructions from Kanjipani Imran, Saima had facilitated shelter and logistics for several other crime gang members hiding in Malaysia.
According to the police, the suspect fled to Malaysia around 10 years ago and faces allegations regarding multiple murders and organized crimes.
Further investigations and legal actions regarding the suspects are scheduled to proceed.
