Nation Mourns Dr. Nanda Malini: Three-Day National Mourning Period Declared

“Mihimadale Amma” (Mother of the Earth) Rests in Peace!

The government has declared a three-day national mourning period to honor the passing of Sri Lanka’s legendary vocalist, Dr. Nanda Malini.

Accordingly, the national mourning period will be observed today (21), tomorrow (22), and the day after tomorrow (23).

The final rites of Dr. Nanda Malini are scheduled to be performed on Saturday afternoon at the Borella Cemetery.
