A major nationwide rural road development program kicked off today, with the Sri Lankan government launching the first phase of the “Punarudayata Maga” initiative.
Backed by a Rs. 14 billion investment, this initial stage will focus on improving 55 key rural roads, laying the foundation for the broader goal of upgrading 1,000 roads island-wide.
