Kanjipani’s Associate Remanded for 48-Hour Interrogation

The Kandy Magistrate’s Court has granted permission to the police to detain and interrogate Danushka Kaushalya, alias “Rathmalane Saima,” an organized crime group member and close associate of criminal figure Kanjipani Imran, for 48 hours.

The suspect, who was arrested in Malaysia and brought back to Sri Lanka yesterday afternoon (10), was handed over to the Peradeniya Police Station last night for further investigation.

Meanwhile, two other suspects who were arrested in Malaysia and deported alongside him were produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today (11).
